Sergio Aguero absent in Manchester City training ahead of Roma clash

Manchester City opted to train at their new training centre on Tuesday morning (9th December), before flying to Italy ahead of their crucial UEFA Champions League match against AS Roma.

There was no Sergio Aguero, but Manchester City head coach Manuel Pellegrini will have been buoyed by the sight of captain Vincent Kompany and Spanish international David Silva at training on Tuesday.

City hit the training ground for the final time before their must-win match against Italian side AS Roma - and both Kompany and Silva were with the senior team during the period open to the media.

Silva's return would be of particular help to the English champions - with talisman Aguero set to miss the game due to a knee injury picked up at the weekend.

Pellegrini's men are on a five-match winning streak across all competitions and need all three points in the Italian capital on Wednesday (10th December) to progress from Champions League Group E.
