Aguero Rescued Man City to remain third in the EPL Table
EPL defending Champions Manchester City slipped further behind Chelsea in the race for
the 2014-15 Premier League title on Saturday, after twice having to
come from behind to salvage a 2-2 draw at strugglers Queen's Park
Rangers.
Manchester City Manager Manuel Pellegrini said there are still lot of games to be played so he is never worried about slipping 8 point behind current leader Chelsea.
"No, no. I don't think about it. I'm thinking about our team to recover. We have a lot of time, we have to... we have to play 27 games more. Maybe they (Chelsea) are in a very good moment, the championship is very long." ~ Manuel Pellegrini
Charlie Austin opened the scoring for the home side in the 21st minute and Rangers went ahead again with fourteen minutes left, but two goals from Sergio Aguero saved Manuel Pellegrini's side, the second equaliser arriving just seven minutes from time.
Pellegrini Manchester City coach believe Sergio Aguero is a top and very important player for his team, Aguero who scored twice to rescue Manchester City from a lost, He is now the highest goal scorer with 12 goals leaving Chelsea Striker Diego Costa behind with 10 goals.
"Well, in this moment, he's a very important player for us, I always say that Sergio Aguero is a top player in the world. Maybe he needs now the whole performance of the team (to) grow again, in the same way that we normally, we normally play, with a lot of more offensive play and I'm sure that this will happen after the international break." Pellegrini added
However, the game will be remembered for a bizarre series of incidents early in the match before City's opener.
Austin had the ball in the net on eight minutes, but his effort was ruled out for offside.
Then, in taking the resultant free kick, Hart appeared to pass it straight back to the Rangers striker, who 'scored' again.
Referee Mike Dean, with the help of one of his assistants, noticed that Hart had kicked the ball twice, firstly with his standing foot.
As the ball had not left the penalty area, it was not deemed 'live' and Dean ordered the kick to be retaken.
