David Beckham returns to South Korea with a visit to Seoul for a sponsor on Wednesday (5th November).
Former England football star David Beckham visited South Korean capital city Seoul on Wednesday (5th November) to promote an international whiskey brand.
Beckham, who represented clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid and LA Galaxy, has been a popular figure in Asia even after his retirement.
Beckham attended a news conference on Wednesday but did not speak about football matters. On the stage, Beckham was joined by South Korean actor Lee Seo-jin, who is the local ambassador for the brand.
Beckham said that last time he visited South Korea, he was a football player. He also emphasised that he is proud to be back in South Korea as a committed businessman.
"It's great to be back here in Korea. Like you said, six years ago I was here. I was a football player then. Now I'm a businessman, which is something I'm very proud of. We've been working very hard," said Beckham.
Beckham captained England in 2002 when the World Cup was held in Japan and South Korea.
