The Danish international was known as the "Great Dane" at the club and was instrumental in United's domination in the 1990s. The crazy thing is that Sir Alex Ferguson paid Brondby just £500 000 for the goalkeeper's services back in 1991.

2.Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Solskjaer signed from Molde for £1.5 million in 1996, and the "Baby-Faced Assassin" will go down as one of the most effective super-subs to ever play the game.
